My name is Derek J., I am from Houston, TX and I work for a large oil and gas company.

In the summer of 2012 my girlfriend and I went to a local home builder to see exactly where we were at from a credit standpoint as we desperately needed a new home for our blended family. In my past, I had dealt with a bankruptcy and repossession among other credit issues. Mind you, all of these issues were many years ago, but it still weighed heavily on my credit. My girlfriend had similar negative results on her credit as well.

The builder referred us to National Credit Federation and stated that they could help. We were reluctant at first because we know how hard it is for positive results and from previous credit restoration failures. However with NCF, the entire process felt different. They immediately began providing us with the direction we needed to improve our situation. My credit started at 550. After a few months of working with NCF my score began to rise to the 600-615 range. It was as high as 700 after another month or so. We were excited to finally be looked upon with positive eyes from the creditors but also the builder.

We closed our new home in December of 2012 and we are so lucky and blessed to have had Monique Martin as our case manager. She went above and beyond in her role as our case manager. She was friendly, always available, and  gave us the peace of mind that we had someone fighting for us. If not for her and NCF we would not have closed on our home.
The process was outlined in an easy format and all we had to do was stay on top of it and things began to fall in place. We plan on using NCF again to help us maintain our good standing with the creditors.

My family would like to extend a huge thanks to National Credit Federation for all of the time, patience, and help that they provided in helping us to realize our dream of home ownership. It feels good to say that. Homeowner!!

YAY!!!!

Thanks,
-Derek J.
